Baansiwalin

Every room at Baansiwalin has air conditioning. The rooms vary in size, from a 20 m² double room with a private bathroom and a balcony/terrace to a 35 m² one-bedroom house with a king bed, a flat-screen TV and a streaming service.

The double room also has a TV, a desk and free bottled water, while the house has towels, an electric kettle, a hair dryer and a socket near the bed. Both of these rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries.

Baansiwalin has free WiFi in all rooms, with WiFi also available in the public areas and internet services for guests. Free private parking is available on site, and bicycle parking and bike hire are offered for getting around the old city.

The homestay has a coffee shop, an outdoor seating area and a picnic area, and breakfast choices include American, à la carte and Asian dishes, with fruit provided each morning. Air conditioning covers the public areas as well as the rooms, and English and Thai are spoken.

Baansiwalin is in the Suan Plik area of Ayutthaya, the former capital of Siam, and the ruins of the Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site, are close by. Wat Na Phra Meru is 200 m away, so the first temple of the day is close to the door, and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, a former royal temple, is a short distance off. The area suits anyone who wants to spend the day among old ruins.

Wat Mahathat, 1.1 km away, is known for its Buddha head set among the roots of a tree, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, with its Khmer-style towers on the Chao Phraya river, lies a little further out. The Chao Sam Phraya National Museum is also nearby, and Ayutthaya Train Station is 2.6 km away, with trains to and from Bangkok. Further out, the Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village offers a different side of the area. Don Mueang International Airport is 50.3 km away.

Bike hire and bicycle parking at the homestay make it simple to spend a day moving between temples and the old city's sites. The homestay is also near boating activities, so an afternoon on the water is an easy addition to a day among the temples.
