The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, known as Wat Phra Kaew, is 1.1 km away, and it sits beside The Grand Palace, which is 1.2 km away, two of the most visited sites in the city. Wat Arun, the temple with a tall prang on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya river, is 1.9 km away. Sam Yot station, 950 m from the hotel, is on the metro line.

A good day starts with the palace complex and the temples, then a walk back through the old city to Khaosan Road for dinner. Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large weekend market with thousands of stalls, is much further out across the city, so it is better as a separate outing. For the longer trips across the city, a taxi from the hotel is the simplest way to get there.
