Maliwan Lake is 2.1 km away, Wat Lat Sanun, a pagoda, is 2.2 km away, and Future Park Rangsit, a large shopping centre, is 2.3 km away. Khlong Rangsit Station is 3.5 km away, and Don Mueang International Airport is 8.1 km away. There is also a hospital close by, Thanyarak Hospital, for any medical needs.

Central Bangkok is a longer journey from Rangsit, and the Grand Palace, Wat Arun and the Chatuchak Weekend Market are best planned as a full day out. The temples and museums of the city centre, including the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and Jim Thompson House, are better kept for a separate trip, since the journey from Rangsit takes a while and is worth an early start. For a quieter start closer to the hotel, Maliwan Lake is a simple place to begin the day.
