The Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the best-known markets in Thailand, is a short ride away at 1.6 km, with clothing, crafts, antiques and food stalls. Closer by is Wat Thammaphirataram, a pagoda 850 m away, and Or Tor Kor Market, known for fresh produce and prepared food, is also nearby.

Give a weekend morning to the market, then walk through Chatuchak Park, which has a lake and jogging paths. For the old city and its temples, the Grand Palace and Wat Arun are a longer trip, and the Asiatique riverfront is a pleasant evening outing on the Chao Phraya. Don Mueang International Airport is 14 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 26.5 km away, both reached by road from the neighbourhood.
