Baan Sawan Samui Resort

All the guestrooms at Baan Sawan Samui Resort have air conditioning. Floor areas run from 30 to 80 m², and the bed set-ups range from one king bed to layouts with two single beds and a sofa bed, so the choice fits different numbers of guests. Each room is decorated individually, and one family room sleeps up to six guests.

Some rooms have a private entrance and a balcony or terrace, and blackout curtains and a desk are fitted in some of them. The bathrooms feature showers, complimentary toiletries and hair dryers, and the hotel also has a computer station for guests.

Baan Sawan Samui Resort stands in Chaweng Noi, a smaller and calmer bay on Koh Samui, just beside the busier stretch of Chaweng. Chaweng Noi Beach is 450 m away and a golf course lies next door, so the setting is better for a relaxed beach stay than for late nights out. The hotel's own bar, lounge and poolside bar cover the evenings.

Samui Airport, the island's own airport, is 5.6 km away, and Lamai Beach is 3.1 km along the coast. Central Festival Samui, a large shopping centre, is 3.8 km away for everyday errands. Big Buddha, a large seated Buddha statue on a hilltop, is about 8 km away, and the Na Muang Waterfall lies in the hills. Fisherman's Village, a lively area of shops and cafés in restored old-style buildings, is a short trip from the hotel, and a scooter or car makes the rest of the island easy to reach.

A good day could start with a swim at Chaweng Noi and continue to Hin Ta and Hin Yai, the rock formations known as Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, and to Wat Plai Laem, a temple with a large Guanyin statue. The Big Buddha is a good addition to any day of sightseeing. In the afternoon, you can head to Na Muang Waterfall or stroll around Fisherman's Village before returning to the resort for the evening.
