Bangla Road, 300 m away, is the street of bars and night entertainment that gives Patong its evening reputation. Jungceylon Shopping Center, 550 m away, is a large mall with shops and restaurants, and the Patong night market and Banzaan Fresh Market are close by. The night market is a busy evening stop for street food and souvenirs. For a temple visit, Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) is about 7 km away.

A day could start on the beach, continue to the Patong night market, and end on Bangla Road. For another stretch of sand, Kalim Beach lies on the same coastline as Patong, while Kata and Karon beaches are further south along the coast and take longer to reach.
