Baan Pinklao

The rooms at Baan Pinklao include a 15 m² suite for up to three guests and a 16 m² studio apartment for up to four. Both rooms are part of a property on the Thonburi side of the river, and the building is open to guests around the clock at the front desk.

Baan Pinklao sits in Thonburi, on the western side of the Chao Phraya river, in a residential part of Bangkok that feels quieter than the historic centre across the water. Streets here are lined with local shops, small temples and everyday markets, and the pace of life is slower than in the tourist districts. The Chao Phraya river runs close by, and the old city on the other side of the water is a short trip away by road or river.

The Bang Yi Khan MRT station is 850 m away, and the metro can be used for trips into the city. Khaosan Road, 2.9 km away, is a busy backpacker street in the Banglamphu district. The Grand Palace is 3.3 km away and Wat Arun is 3.8 km, two of the best-known sights on the river. Chatuchak Weekend Market is further away and is better left for a day of its own.

A good day could begin with the temples close to the property, such as Wat Chao Am, 1.1 km away, and then continue toward the Grand Palace area and Wat Arun. The National Museum of Royal Barges is also close by and can be added to the same day.
