Baan Ok

Baan Ok offers double rooms, bungalows and a house, with room sizes from 17 to 38 m². Several rooms look onto the garden, and some have a private entrance, soundproofing or a private bathroom. Sleeping capacity runs from two to three guests depending on the room. Some rooms have an electric kettle, a coffee and tea maker or a mosquito net.

Baan Ok is in the Pra Ae area of Koh Lanta, an island in Krabi Province on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand. Pra Ae is a village beside Long Beach, a long stretch of sand 300 m from the hotel, and life here runs at the pace of the beach and the village. Koh Lanta is reached by ferry from the mainland, and the hotel has an airport transfer and a shuttle service to help with the trip.

Khlong Khong Beach is another long stretch of sand 1.6 km away, and Lanta Old Town, 9.8 km away, is a traditional fishing village. Further afield, Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 15.8 km away, covers a group of islands and beaches, and Khlong Chak Waterfall lies inland in the forest. The Lanta Animal Welfare organisation is 800 m from the hotel.

A good day could start with a swim at Long Beach, then a visit to Lanta Old Town in the afternoon before a drink at the outdoor bar. For a longer outing, the national park and the waterfall are worth a full day. Sea conditions can make boat crossings to the island rougher at certain times of year. For a quieter day, the garden and the swimming pool at the hotel are a short step away.
