Baan Maneekan

Every room at Baan Maneekan has air conditioning, and the homestay offers double, king and twin rooms. Several of them look out onto the garden. The Double Room with Private External Bathroom measures 18 m². The Economy Double Room and the Deluxe King Room measure 28 m² each, and both of those have a garden view.

Baan Maneekan is in Thung Saliam, a district of Sukhothai province in central Thailand. The surroundings are mostly villages and hamlets, and it is a calm base for those who want time away between visits to the ancient sites.

Thung Saliam Water Park is 750 m away, and a few village pagodas are close by, such as Wat Mueang Na. The main attraction is further afield: Sukhothai Historical Park, 37 km away, holds the ruins of the old Sukhothai capital, with temples including Wat Mahathat, Wat Sa Si and Wat Sri Chum. Si Satchanalai Historical Park, 26 km away, is another site of ruins from the Sukhothai kingdom, and it is a good complement to the larger park in Sukhothai town. The historical parks are spread over wide areas, so plan to travel between them by road, and the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum in Sukhothai holds artefacts from the kingdom for a visit between the temples.

A full day could start at Sukhothai Historical Park, continue at Si Satchanalai Historical Park, and end back at the homestay with a massage or time in the sauna. Sukhothai Airport, 28.7 km away, is the nearest airport, so the journey from the airport to the homestay is the first leg of any visit to the ancient sites.
