Baan Klong Khong is a village area of Koh Lanta, a long island in Krabi province on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand. The hotel sits in its streets, a short way from the sea, and guests who prefer to stay close to home can spend time by the pool in the garden.

The beaches are the main draw. Ao Hin Ta Re and Lung Phon Beach are the closest stretches of sand, 600 m and 700 m away, and Phra Ae Beach, the island's long beach, is 1.8 km from the hotel. Lanta Animal Welfare is 150 m away, and the Lanta Muay Thai Academy is close by too. Further off, the Ba-Lai temple and the Butterfly Farm are a few kilometres away, while Mu Ko Lanta National Park lies further afield.

Koh Lanta is reached by ferry from the mainland, and most guests fly into Krabi International Airport first, about 57 km away. A day can combine the beaches with a walk through the Monday Market or the village of Phra Ae, or a trip to the Mu Ko Lanta National Park. Lanta Old Town, the island's historic village, is further afield and makes a good half-day outing. In the rainy season, rough seas can interrupt ferry crossings.
