Baan Kong Homestay

The Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the main reason many travellers come to this part of the province, with ruined temples, old city walls and museums spread across the town. The Ayutthaya Train Station is a practical link for travellers heading on to Bangkok.

Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha head entwined in tree roots, is 350 m away, and Wat Phanan Choeng, with its large seated Buddha, is 2 km away. The Ayutthaya Train Station is 1.5 km from the property, and Don Mueang International Airport is 49.8 km away, so the station is the nearest rail link for travellers arriving by train. Bicycles can be rented at the property for trips to the temples nearby.

A good day here starts at Wat Mahathat and goes on to the temples of the Historic City, then to the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum, which shows art and artefacts from the Ayutthaya period. Between the temples, the closest sights are a short walk apart, and bicycles cover the longer routes. The Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village is 2.6 km away for a different kind of outing.
