Old temples and small boats moving along the water give the town its character.

The Amphawa Floating Market is 500 m from the hotel, and its vendors sell food and snacks from boats and shopfronts along the canal. King Rama II Museum is a short walk from the hotel, and Wat Amphawan Che Ti Ya Ram, a temple with a pagoda, is nearby. Walking between the market, the temple and the museums takes little time, and several of them can be seen in one day. The railway market is further afield and is best reached by road.
