Baan Khunying

Baan Khunying offers villas with one to three bedrooms, several of them with a sea or ocean view. The Private Villa measures 250 m² and has a sea view, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a choice of bed set-ups. The three-bedroom villa with an ocean view sleeps up to ten guests.

Some of the villas have a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and blackout curtains, and the whole property is booked for one group at a time.

The villa offers an airport transfer, a shuttle service, a bar and a garden, and parking is free for guests who drive. Snorkelling, diving and canoeing are offered, tours can be arranged, and car hire is also available.

Baan Khunying is in Rawai, a fishing village on Phuket where the pace is slower than at the resort beaches further up the island. The sea is close to the property, and the streets around it are quiet, with fishing boats along the shore and small local businesses in between. The setting favours a stay centred on the villa and the sea rather than on nightlife.

Rawai Beach is 350 m away, and Promthep Cape Monastery is 700 m away on the Promthep Cape headland, where an old lighthouse stands. Nai Harn Beach is 1.7 km away, another sandy stretch of coast. The Big Buddha is 7.4 km away on a hill with views across the island, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the most revered temples on Phuket, lies in Chalong. Phuket International Airport is 39 km away, and the property offers an airport transfer. Rawai Pier, the local ferry terminal, is nearby.

A day could start on Rawai Beach and continue to the Promthep Cape headland, where the monastery and the old lighthouse are close together. In the afternoon, the Big Buddha or the temple at Wat Chalong makes a natural next stop, then back to the villa in the evening. Boat trips from Rawai Pier depend on the weather and the sea.
