A good first day could begin at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is best visited at weekends, then take the MRT into the central district to see the Jim Thompson House, a collection of traditional Thai houses. In the evening, the Huay Kwang Night Bazaar is close by for an easy meal before returning to the neighbourhood, and the streets around the hotel are worth a slow walk after dark, with food stalls and small shops still open.
