Baan Kam Pu Uthai Thani is in the Mueang district of Uthai Thani, a provincial town in central Thailand on the Sakae Krang River. The town is small and easy to explore on foot, with its museums and temples close together, and its streets are quiet compared with the larger cities of the region.

Within a short walk are the Hok Sae Tueng Museum, 350 m away, and Wat Uposatharam, also called Wat Bot, 550 m away. Wat Mani Sathit Kapittharam is 750 m away, and the Trok Rong Ya Walking Street, 700 m from the property, is a walking street close by. Wat Mani Sathit Kapittharam and Wat Uposatharam are both temples a short walk from the hotel.

Sakae Krang Hill, with its viewpoint, is the natural outing for the afternoon, and the Uthai Thani Provincial Culture and Science Museum is a good stop before or after it. The museum is devoted to the culture and science of the province, and it is one of the few indoor sights in the town. The property has a garden and a terrace, and the rooms have a river view, so guests can return there between visits to the museums and temples. Guests who arrive by car can use the free parking.
