At Smile House

Free WiFi is available in all rooms at At Smile House, and many rooms have air conditioning and blackout curtains. The beds are queen beds, single beds and a bunk bed, and the rooms sleep two or three guests. Some rooms have a seating area or a desk, and their bathrooms have a shower, toiletries and a hair dryer.

At Smile House is on Trok Sa-Ke Tanao Road in the Phranakorn district of old Bangkok, part of the Rattanakosin area, where many of the city's historic temples, palace buildings and museums sit close together. The streets are a mix of traditional shophouses, guesthouses and small businesses, and the area is well suited to exploring the historic centre on foot.

Khaosan Road, the backpacker street with its guesthouses, street-food stalls and bars, is 350 m away. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, inside the Grand Palace complex, is 800 m from the hotel, and Wat Phra Chetuphon, known for its giant reclining Buddha, is also close by. A riverside pier, Phra Pin Klao Pier, is 900 m away for boats on the Chao Phraya river. Wat Arun stands on the opposite bank of the river, and the Jim Thompson House, a teak-built museum house, is further out. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is further away still.

A day could begin at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, continue across the river to Wat Arun, and finish back on Khaosan Road. Don Mueang International Airport is 20.9 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 28.2 km away, and the hotel offers a shuttle service.
