For a day out, the walk from the apartment to Benchakitti Forest Park is short, and from the Asok station the BTS takes you on to Siam Paragon. The Grand Palace, 7.4 km away, is the royal complex that houses the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and it makes a longer trip across town. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is further still, on the other side of the city, so it makes a full day out with a longer trip from the apartment.
