Asia Inn Bangkok

The rooms at Asia Inn Bangkok measure between 14 and 30 m² and sleep up to four guests, with single, twin, double and queen set-ups available. Some rooms have a city or a night view, and others have blackout curtains, a telephone or an in-room safe box.

Several rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and some also have a bathtub, air conditioning, a TV or a refrigerator. Towels and toiletries come with several of the rooms, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. A baby cot can be requested directly from the hotel, subject to availability.

Sukhumvit Soi 1 runs off Sukhumvit Road, one of Bangkok's best-known streets, and the lanes around it are busy with shophouses, small hotels, clinics and street-food stalls. The area mixes office buildings and residential blocks, and the Khlong Toei Nuea district stretches out behind the main road. It is a practical area for anyone who wants to be near the Skytrain and the shopping malls without being in the old city's tourist core.

The Phloen Chit BTS Station is the closest Skytrain stop, and Nana BTS Station is also close, on the same line, so the Sukhumvit line gives easy access to the central shopping area. Siam Paragon is 1.8 km away, a large mall with an aquarium and cinemas, and Jim Thompson House is 2.5 km away, a teak house museum that displays Thai art and silk. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, two of the city's best-known landmarks, are further away and are usually reached by taxi.

A full day can start at Jim Thompson House, then continue by Skytrain to the malls around Siam and Chit Lom, and end with a taxi to the old city's temples. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip and works best as a separate morning out, so it is worth planning it for a weekend.
