Arun Sa Wad - Chinatown

The rooms measure between 32 and 40 m² and sleep from two up to five guests. Most have a private bathroom with a shower, and a few also have a separate shower and bathtub.

The lanes here are lined with shophouses, gold shops, Chinese shrines and food stalls, and the district is busy and traditional rather than quiet and residential. It suits visitors who like to walk between temples, markets and the river, and who enjoy the mix of old buildings and street life that makes Chinatown what it is.

Wat Traimit Witthayaram Worawihan, the temple known for its gold Buddha statue, is 200 m away, and Yaowarat Road is 250 m. Hua Lamphong Railway Station, the main railway station for long-distance trains, is 350 m from the property. The Grand Palace, home of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is 2.6 km away, and Khaosan Road, the backpacker street, is nearby.

A good plan is to begin at Wat Traimit, then walk along Yaowarat Road in the evening, when the street food stalls and shops fill the lanes. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the far bank of the river, can be reached by taxi from here, and the Khaosan Road area is a short trip for an evening out. Asiatique - The Riverfront, the riverside shopping and dining complex, is 4.1 km away and a good choice for a riverside evening.
