Patong Beach, with its nightlife and shopping, is 8 km away, while Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park with Thai shows, is 2.4 km away and makes a full evening out. Phuket International Airport is 14.9 km away, and the Big Buddha on a hilltop above the island, one of Phuket's best-known sights, makes a good half-day trip.
