Surin is a beach district of Phuket, a little away from the nightlife of Patong, and the apartment is a quiet base close to the sand. Surin Beach is a short walk from the building, and the neighbouring beaches of Bang Tao and Pansea are close by along the same stretch of coast. The sea is the main draw of the district, and the rest of Phuket is reachable by road from here. Patong is also the easiest place to find the island's evening scene, while Surin stays quieter.

The area has a few local landmarks nearby. Phuket FantaSea, the large cultural show park in Kathu, is 2.7 km away, and the Bang Tao Night Market and the Kamala Night Market are close enough for an evening out. Local villages such as Ban Bang Thao sit near the apartment, and the Chaithararam Temple, also called Wat Chalong, is a longer drive away.

For a full day out, Patong Beach, 8.3 km away, has the island's best-known nightlife and water sports, while the Big Buddha, 17.3 km away on a hilltop, gives wide views over the island. Phuket International Airport is about 14.8 km away, so the apartment works well as a base for sightseeing and for beach days.
