Aonang House

Ao Nang is a beach town on the Andaman coast of Krabi, in southern Thailand, where limestone cliffs and mangroves rise above a lively seafront. A street of shops, restaurants and night markets runs back from the sand, so the town is busy in the evening and quieter at its edges. Much of the town can be explored on foot, with the beach close to the main street. It is a practical choice for travellers who want the sea close at hand and a wide choice of places to eat in town.

Ao Nang Beach is 2.7 km away, and Railay Beach, reached by longtail boat, is 3.7 km away. Boats leave from the piers for the Phi Phi Islands and other nearby islands, and Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hilltop temple complex, is 12.6 km away.

A good way to spend a day is a morning on Ao Nang Beach, a longtail boat to Railay, and a rest back in town before heading out again. In the evening, the Weekend Market is 1.7 km from Aonang House, with its stalls and local goods, and the temples and mosques around the town make a short detour from the beach.
