Ao Nang Modern Villa

Ao Nang is a beach town on the mainland coast of Krabi province in southern Thailand, where a wide bay of sand runs beneath limestone cliffs. In the evenings the beach road fills with street-food stalls and tour desks. Ao Nang Modern Villa is 3.5 km from Ao Nang Beach, and Krabi International Airport (KBV) is 15.4 km away by road.

Boats for Railay and the nearby islands leave from the piers in Ao Nang. Railay, 4 km away, is reached by longtail boat and is known for its limestone cliffs, and its Phra Nang Cave Beach has a shrine. Closer to the hotel, Mountain Buddha Temple, 1.2 km away, is a pagoda and temple complex with a large Buddha statue, and the Poda and Tup islands can be reached by boat for swimming and snorkelling.

A good day starts with a longtail boat from the Ao Nang piers to Railay, and the Phra Nang Cave beach is on the same peninsula. On another day, Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) climbs a limestone hill by a long staircase, and the Krabi Weekend Night Market, 7.3 km away, sells local food and goods on weekends. Sea conditions can stop boat trips in the rainy months, so keep a spare day for the islands.
