The accommodation at Andaman Pool Villas, Maikhao Beach Phuket is made up of pool villas, and a few have a private pool. Depending on the villa, you can find air conditioning, a kitchen or kitchenette, a dining table, a balcony or terrace, a private bathroom and a separate living room.

The sand runs for a long way, a short walk from the villas, and the area feels less busy than the island's main resort beaches. The beach is also known for sea turtles that nest on the sand, and a marine turtle foundation works on the coast.

Near the hotel, the airplane viewpoint on Maikhao Beach is where aircraft come in low over the sand on their approach to the airport, which is 750 m from the villas. Ni Yang Night Market, 2.5 km away, sells local street food in the evening, and Nai Yang Beach is a sandy bay within the Sirinat National Park area. Patong Beach, 23.2 km away, is the island's best-known beach, with a lively nightlife strip.

A day could start on Mai Khao Beach in the morning, continue with the airplane viewpoint, and end at Ni Yang Night Market for local food. Patong Beach is a longer drive, so it is best kept for a separate day out, and the airport is close enough for a short transfer at the start or end of a trip.
