Ananda Private Pool Villa, Ao Nang

The whole property is one private villa, with its own pool, a balcony or terrace and air conditioning, so the house is let as a single unit.

Inside, the villa has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with bathrobes, a hair dryer and toiletries in the bathroom, and a kitchen with a microwave, a refrigerator and a stove.

The villa is equipped for self-catering, with a kitchen that has a stove, a microwave, a refrigerator, dishes and dining utensils, and basic cookware, oils and condiments. Linens, towels, a hair dryer, toiletries and an iron are also provided.

Ao Nang is a beach town on the Andaman coast of Krabi province, built around a long bay where the main road runs close to the sand. The area is busy in the evenings, with street-food stalls and small shops along the beach road, and it works well as a base for day trips to the islands and the limestone cliffs of the peninsulas nearby.

Ao Nang Beach is 1.1 km from the villa, and the boats to Railay leave from the piers along the bay. Railay Beach, 2.3 km away, is a peninsula of limestone cliffs and sand reached mainly by boat, and Phra Nang Cave, on the same peninsula, is one of the area's best-known sights. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside temple with a long staircase, lies 14.2 km away, and Krabi International Airport is 17.8 km from the villa.

A good day out is a boat trip from Ao Nang to Railay for a swim and a walk through the bay, or a shorter run to Poda Island and Tup Island, both reached by longtail boat. In the rainy months boat trips can be cancelled when the sea is rough, so an evening at the Krabi Weekend Night Market or a walk along the beach road makes a good alternative.
