Gastropo Fossils The World Museum, which displays fossils, lies 1.2 km away, so the area has more to see than the beach alone.

Railay, the limestone peninsula known for its cliffs and beaches, is 4.1 km away and is reached mainly by boat, and Phra Nang Cave, a cliff-backed beach, lies on the same peninsula. Ao Nang, the main resort strip, is 5 km away. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside temple with a large Buddha statue and a long climb, is 12.4 km away. Poda and Tup islands are farther out, reached by boat, and are common day-trip stops from Ao Nang.

A good day can combine the cliffs and beaches of Railay with the hilltop temple, and the Krabi Weekend Night Market is a lively place to end the day. Sea conditions can stop boat trips for a day, especially in the rainy months.
