The rooms at Alt Hotel Nana by UHG run from windowless 20 m² rooms to a 90 m² two-bedroom family suite that sleeps up to four guests. In between are 25 m² superior rooms and 40 and 45 m² suites with a city view, and several of them offer a choice of bed set-ups.

It is one of the busiest parts of the city, with hotels, tailors and jewellery shops along the lanes, several embassies within walking distance, and bars that stay lively well into the evening. The main road carries heavy traffic by day, while the sois that branch off it are quieter, and the area is a practical choice for a short city stay.

Nana BTS Station is 700 m from the hotel, and the Sukhumvit line takes you in a few stops to Siam, where Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre on Rama I Road, is 2.3 km away. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is about 3 km away and is made up of traditional Thai houses set in a garden. From Siam, the shopping districts and the river are a short onward journey, and taxis on Sukhumvit Road are an easy way to reach the older parts of the city.

A day could start at the Grand Palace, 6.8 km away, and continue to Wat Arun on the far bank of the Chao Phraya river before returning to the Siam shopping district in the afternoon. At weekends, the Chatuchak Weekend Market, 7.2 km from the hotel, makes a long morning of browsing possible, with thousands of stalls selling clothes, crafts, plants and food across many sections.
