Alaya Patong Phuket is 400 m from Patong Beach, and Bangla Road, the street known for its bars and clubs, is 900 m away. Jungceylon Shopping Center, a large mall, is a short walk from the hotel, and Kalim Beach is also nearby. Further afield, Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) is 7.2 km away, and Big Buddha Phuket, a hilltop statue, is 8.3 km. Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park with an evening show, is further out. The temples and the Big Buddha are better reached by taxi or hired car, while the beaches and Bangla Road are easy to reach on foot.

A full day could start with a swim at Patong Beach, continue with a visit to Wat Chalong, and end with an evening at Phuket FantaSea or a walk along Bangla Road. Karon and Kata beaches are a short drive away for a change of scene, and Phuket International Airport (HKT) is on the same island, so the trip from the airport needs no ferry.
