AETAS Lumpini

Most of the rooms at AETAS Lumpini look over Bangkok, and several of them include bathtubs, bathrobes and hair dryers. The Deluxe Twin Room, at 42 m², sleeps up to three guests, and the Lumpini Suite, at 160 m², sleeps up to six.

The Premier Suite covers 70 m² and the Executive Suite 87 m², and both bathrooms are fitted with bathrobes and toiletries. The Executive Suite also has an additional toilet, and its bathroom includes a bathtub and a shower. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Guests in the Deluxe King Room can also use grab bars and an adapted bath.

At AETAS Lumpini the leisure facilities include an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, a sauna and massage. The hotel has a bar, a poolside bar, restaurants serving Asian, Western and international cuisine, and room service.

AETAS Lumpini stands on Rama IV Road in Sathorn, one of the main business districts of Bangkok, where office towers, hotels and shopping centres line a wide avenue. Embassies, hotels and office buildings sit close together on the streets nearby. The streets around the hotel stay busy through the working day and into the evening, and the area feels more modern than the older quarters of the city.

The Metro is the quickest link to the rest of the city, with Lumphini MRT station 200 m away. One Bangkok, a large mixed-use development on Rama IV Road, is a short walk away, and Siam Paragon, the shopping centre, is 2.8 km away. Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional teak houses, is 3.4 km away and makes a good stop between shopping and sightseeing.

A full day could combine the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, both in the old city by the Chao Phraya river, with an evening at Asiatique, the riverside shopping and dining complex, which is a good place for dinner by the water after a day of sightseeing. Shoppers can head further out on weekends, when the Chatuchak Weekend Market is the place to browse for clothes, food and crafts.
