Several embassies are within a few hundred metres of the hotel, including those of Egypt, Italy and the United Arab Emirates, and the Masjid Indonesia mosque is just around the corner. Much of the neighbourhood around the hotel can be reached on foot.

The Phloen Chit BTS station is 500 m away, and the Skytrain is the simplest way to reach the rest of the city. Siam Paragon, one of the large shopping centres in the Pathumwan district, is 1.8 km from the hotel. Jim Thompson House, the teak residence of the American who revived the Thai silk industry, is 2.6 km away.

The Grand Palace, 6.4 km away on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, is the royal complex at the centre of the old city, with Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, on the same bank. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.8 km away, sells crafts, clothing and food on weekends. A full day could start at Jim Thompson House, continue with the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, and end back at the hotel's spa, sauna and hot tub.
