The neighbourhood mixes older shophouses and temples with newer riverside development, and several temples, a cathedral and heritage museums lie within a few kilometres of the property. The Assumption Cathedral is 2.1 km away, on the same road.

Asiatique - The Riverfront is 950 m away, a riverside complex with shops and the Asiatique Sky Ferris Wheel. The Saphan Taksin BTS station, 1.6 km away, gives skytrain access to the rest of the city, and river piers nearby connect to the Chao Phraya River boats. The temples of the old city are spread across both banks of the river, so the boats are a practical way to reach them. The Chao Phraya is the main waterway through the city, and its express boats stop at piers on both banks.

A good day could start with a boat ride across the river to the old city, where The Grand Palace is 5.5 km away. Wat Arun lies across the river on the Thonburi side, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 25.8 km away, so allow extra time for the journey when you arrive.
