Big Buddha Phuket, a large white seated Buddha on a hilltop, is 4 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 5.7 km, one of the island's best-known temples. A car or scooter helps here, because the beaches and temples are spread across several kilometres.

A good day can start at Wat Chalong, continue to Nai Harn Beach in the afternoon and end at the pier to watch the boats leave for the islands. The sea can be rough in the rainy months, which changes the boat trips.
