Thonburi, the western side of the city, is a different pace from the central districts on the far bank.

Bang Mot Market is 100 m from the hotel, and Greenday Night Market is 1.7 km away. Wat Kamphaeng, a pagoda, lies 1.1 km off, and Central Park Rama II is a park in the Rama 2 area. Two train stations, Wat Sing and Wat Sai, are close by, and the golf driving range of Gassan Driving Range Golf Club is also nearby. Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn on the Chao Phraya riverbank, is 8.7 km away.

A good day here could start at Bang Mot Market, continue to Wat Kamphaeng, and end at Wat Arun by the river. Don Mueang International Airport is the nearer of Bangkok's two airports, at 31.3 km from the hotel, and the local streets around the hotel are the easiest way to get a feel for the neighbourhood on foot.
